STORY OF ATA CESME

İbrahim and Zehra AKIN, who came from a family of Mora origin, bought the land where our hotel is located from the Greek merchant Vaseli in 1933, so that when their daughter Meliha was 13 years old, she would  leave from Çesme after marriage.

İbrahim AKIN was known by the nickname "Kopanisti" in Çeşme. Kopanisti is a kind of cheese unique to Çeşme and used as an appetizer, made by kneading curd cheese with olive oil for 40 days.

Despite the passage of years, Ms. Meliha did not do anything to the land. In 1980, Ms. Meliha's daughter Belgin AKPINAR built a house on the land and used it as a three-flat apartment.

In 2020, this three flat house was demolished and the current hotel was built by Ms.Belgin's son Koray AKPINAR and put into service on 01 July 2021.

The land he bought for Meliha, the daughter of Kopanisti İbrahim 4 generations ago so that she would not leave Çeşme, has been moved 4 generations away and has survived as ATA ÇEŞME BOUTIQUE HOTEL.

The name of the hotel was given as ATA ÇEŞME  by Belgin AKPINAR, in order to respect all our Ancestors, who connected us to this beautiful fountain, especially our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, who made us exist on these lands.

From yesterday, to the present, to the future…..
